on the writing & reading trail

Edit diary (April 7)

Good Friday was a day for reflection. No writing work.

Today was a wonderful Queensland day – sunny, right temperature, clear sky. We stayed home and took it easy.

However, late in the day I couldn’t stay away from the manuscript and made many changes to the current last chapter of Part One. A real milestone. Now I’ll work my way right through again. Prologue is looking fairly right after minor changes. Chapter one is having a minor wrestle with the opening paragraph – I think it is almost there. Am feeling more optimistic now that the right changes are happening.

From tomorrow or Monday will start work on Part Two while making the next sweep of the rest of Part One. Feels good.

This Jessica Morrell publication will sit by my side for a while. I’ve been finding the succint pointers very helpful while editing. Worth a look at writing stage as well of course. I just hadn’t found it then.
